My Journey
I have now been working with PMC for a number of years and received Levels 1 and 2 Certification in PMC in 2006. I am an active member of the PMC Guild in Australia. In 2007 and 2008 I was fortunate enough to undertake classes with international PMC artists, Robert Dancik and Barbara Becker-Simon. I have also undertaken extensive training in enamelling including workshops with Carolyn Delzoppo and Debbie Sheezel, both internationally acclaimed Australian enamel artists. Enamelling is one of my favourite techniques. I was pleased to undertake a cloisonné enamel brooch by commission for Reiki Australia in 2009. As my interest in jewellery making and metalwork techniques developed I decided to undertake a 2 year Advanced Diploma in Jewellery course at North Melbourne Institute (Fairfield), which I completed in 2009.

Discovering the enjoyment of making jewellery came rather late in my life. After 20 years of working in an office environment, and a lifetime of envying those who were creative in any way, I stumbled across silver clay. I was fascinated in this product which sounded too good to be true and enrolled in a short course with Maggie Bergman, a senior instructor in PMC who was teaching in Brunswick. I was really amazed at the ease of creating jewellery and thrilled that I went home proudly wearing my silver jewellery. I had no artistic or creative background what so ever but found the process so easy - I was hooked.
