Workshops are currently running in North Fitzroy (Melbourne), the Latrobe Valley (Gippsland), and elsewhere by demand. Classes are currently offered as single 1 day workshops (mostly weekends), with 2 day workshops covering all beginner's techniques being offered periodically by demand.

Beginners 1
You will learn all the basics of working with PMC using lump clay, syringe clay and paste. You will also learn how to set stones into the clay, and how to fire and finish your piece. You should leave with at least 2-3 pieces of finished jewellery.

Beginners 2
You will learn to build on the skills learnt in session one by making more advanced forms including hollow forms and botanicals (using PMC to make a perfect replica of organic forms such as leaves).

Metal Clay Rings
Learn to make rings of various styles using a variety of techniques. Participants must have completed at least one beginners level class or have experience in using metal clay.

Toggles, Findings and Texture Plates
Make toggles and other findings to complement your unique jewellery pieces. Toggles can be used as closures but can also be used as the focal piece. A number of other jewellery findings will be discussed and demonstrated. Making photoploymer plates also will be demonstrated - this technique allows you to take almost any black and white image to create completely original texture plates.
